Amanda was sent to the hospital when law enforcement deemed it necessary following the Monday night incident where she lit a small fire in someone's Thousand Oaks driveway.
Sources close to the situation reveal:
"Her parents are absolutely sick with worry about their daughter. They are now considering going to a judge and attempting to get a conservatorship of Amanda. They have previously met with lawyers to discuss the possibility of taking legal control of Amanda’s life. It’s a truly devastating situation for Amanda’s parents and their biggest concern is the health and safety of her."
As we previously reported, Amanda can only be hold for a maximum of 72 hours on a 5150 hold, but one insider says: "She could be released whenever doctors determine she is no longer a danger to herself, or others. If Rick and Lynn are going to seek a conservatorship, they need to act very, very quickly." Fingers crossed they're on it! Surely they are. If anyone wants to see Amanda get help, it's definitely gotta be her parents!
Ventura County Sheriff's Captain Don Aguilar says of the hospitalization:
"When we receive a call on something like this and someone is behaving unusually in front of a deputy trained to evaluate the possibility of needing a mental health evaluation, we can bring them to a mental health facility for up to 72 hours. If someone is having a behavioral issue and they can't care for themselves, then we step in and we try to give them assistance they need to get them going in the right direction."
We can only hope this is the final straw Amanda needs to get the REAL help she needs.
A Makeshift Gas Bomb In The Works
Bynes Posts Crazy Video |
We already thought it was freakin' cray cray to hear Amanda Bynes was lighting a fire in someone's driveway, but now we hear it was far more dangerous than that!
The 911 call from a witness has been released, and it reveals just how terrible the event could have been. While the caller was describing the fire, he revealed the flaming cloth was on top of a GAS TANK!
And anyone who knows anything knows that fire plus gas equals super big explosions!!
We don't know if the gas tank was full, but we do know it luckily didn't explode. And luckily the whole thing was reported before anything worse happened.
Amanda has supposedly since been hospitalized on a 5150 psychiatric hold where she will be evaluated.
We really, sincerely hope this was rock bottom, and she can get the help she needs.
