Kanye West has been charged with Battery and Attempted Grant Theft in connection with the LAX paparazzi beating. 

Contrary to rumors to the contrary, Kanye West has been tried for grand theft and charged with legal violence for his altercation with a LAX photographer.

Despite West's antagonistic relationship with the media, no weapon was used, and he won't have a document, therefore there was no proof that a crime had been totally committed.
The City Attorney disagreed, which is bad news for West, who despises cameramen just as much as he adores Kim and North—and partly because of them.
